Samata is a Thai social enterprise. We acquire land and develop wellness residences across Thailand — proving the model first on Koh Phangan, where we live and work. สมตะคือวิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคมของไทย เราเข้าถือครองที่ดินและพัฒนาที่พักอาศัยเพื่อสุขภาวะทั่วประเทศไทย โดยพิสูจน์รูปแบบนี้เป็นที่แรกบนเกาะพะงัน ที่ซึ่งเราอาศัยและทำงาน

The structure is deliberate. Samata is being structured as a registered social enterprise, so that most of its profit will be bound to the mission — not to owners. What Samata earns by building well is largely committed — by law and by intention — to the land and communities of Thailand. An Australian developer and mentor, long settled on Koh Phangan. Thai, and the local ground Samata is built on. Since 2015 he has run Siam Ez, a social enterprise that helps Thai people — particularly the unemployed and disadvantaged — find work on equal terms.
